On the recommendation of a vet, we have always had RodiCare Instant in stock for years. Fortunately, it is rarely used, but if one of the rabbits refuses to eat after surgery or because of stomach problems, this powder is worth its weight in gold. The taste seems great — even meeky animals eat it willingly, can be easily fed with it and lick the plate completely empty.
Another major advantage is the use for administering medication: In combination with the powder and a little water, even bitter substances are absorbed without difficulty — significantly less stressful than with a syringe directly into the mouth.
The preparation is easy, the powder dissolves well after stirring a few times (and with the right amount of water) and remains free of lumps. With a little more water, it is also ideal for drawing into a syringe, just in case you need to.
If you don't need it several times a day over a long period of time, the can lasts a very long time — this puts the already rather high price into perspective. The price is definitely put into perspective by being able to administer medication to your animal without stress at the latest.
A real must-have for every rabbit/guinea pig owner.
